Easy Ways to Spruce Up Your RV for Spring

5-3-2016

Renovating your RV may sound like a time-consuming and expensive task. However, sprucing up your RV for another season of adventure doesn’t need to cost more than your travels. In fact, you can renovate the interior of your RV for next to nothing using these simple tips that will make an old, dingy RV feel like a brand new home on wheels.

Change Your Color and Theme

It’s easy to step into the same old RV year after year without changing a thing. However, a few simple alterations can entirely change the feeling of your RV’s interior. Replace all of the throw pillows, blankets, rugs, draperies, comforters and towels in your RV to start with a fresh new look and new interior colors. If you have a little more to spend, take your renovations a step further and reupholster your RV’s furniture. This is an easy and cost-effective way to get rid of those outdated patterns often used in RV interiors.

Replace the Flooring

RV carpeting can get especially worn over the years. Instead of opting for an entirely new RV, consider replacing your RV carpeting or use vinyl or laminate flooring instead. These types of flooring can be extremely easy to install, which means you won’t have to hire someone to do it for you.

Replace Your RV Furniture

You’re not necessarily stuck with that shabby dinette or ugly couch that came installed in your RV. These items can easily be removed and replaced with trendier or more comfortable alternatives. Consider tearing out your booth dinette and putting a free-standing dinette in its place, or get rid of that old, uncomfortable sofa and choose one that suits your needs. The most important thing to understand is that nothing in your RV has to be permanent, so let your imagination run wild.
