Father’s Day RVing

Once a year we make an extra-special effort to celebrate the men in our lives. Fathers, grandfathers, husbands and friends all are recognized on Father’s Day. This year on June 16th, do something different for Dad. Instead of taking him out to eat at a fancy restaurant or buying him a new wallet or necktie, take him on a trip. This is an exciting and wonderful way to tell him you appreciate all he does for you. Load up the camper and go see all of the spectacular sights America has to offer!

Most men love some kind of adventure. If this is true for the Dads you know, take them either diving or sky diving. From the high skies to the depths of the oceans and in between, you can find something to do for Dad. About an hour southwest of Oklahoma City is the town of Chickasha. Here, there is a beautiful lake spanning over 800 acres with 10 miles of shoreline. This is a great place to bring Dad for some quiet time out of the busy city. This lake area has sites for your RV or tent. Nearby, the Pegasus Air Sports Center offers skydiving lessons and jumps. You can learn the basics of skydiving and practice for the first part of the day and by mid-afternoon, you are ready for your first jump! Check them out here.

Beer is an all-time favorite among men. It is sometimes the center of parties, events, birthdays and get-togethers. Take your Old Man to a brewery for Father’s Day. There are several around the area. A great one to check out is the Huebert Brewing microbrewery. It is the oldest licensed one in Oklahoma. They have a wide selection of seasonal and specialty beers including Rock Hard Rootbeer which is your childhood favorite with a kick.

Happy Father’s Day from your Oklahoma City RV dealer!
