Whether you are visiting Oklahoma City or you live in the area, you may want to plan to visit some of our state’s holiday events. Many events are right in Oklahoma City – and you’ll want to pack up the RV to make a weekend or even a week-long vacation for other events outside of the city.

Before you head out, stop by Leisure Time RV to pick up any necessities or accessories – or to have your RV serviced before you go. And, if you don’t have an RV but think traveling around the state to attend holiday events sounds like loads of fun, stop by to walk through our many affordable floor plans.

Oklahoma City: Downtown in December

This month-long celebration is in full swing now, so lace up those skates to take a turn around the Devon Ice Rink or grab an innertube to ride the largest manmade snow slope at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. You’ll enjoy tons more to do at the Bricktown Entertainment District throughout the month including Christmas lights, canal cruises, river cruises, holiday window displays, a horse-drawn carriage ride with a cup of steaming hot apple cider and more. And, don’t forget about Free Museum Sundays!

Tulsa: Winterfest

From now through the New Year, Tulsa’s Winterfest is running in downtown. Check out the 44-foot tree with over 35,000 lights, take a horse-drawn carriage ride, visit the BOK Center – the center of Winterfest, listen to live entertainment, and shop for unique gifts at a holiday-themed marketplace. And, don’t forget about the candy canes and the parade of lights.

Guthrie: Territorial Christmas Celebration

Visit Guthrie to listen to carolers, ride a candlelit trolley, shop and browse store windows decorated with Victorian-era Guthrie living displays. Be sure to catch the Christmas parade and the living nativity event. And, take the Territorial Homes Tour and watch the Victorian Walk in the evenings. If you need to take a break, visit Pollard Theatre to catch a showing of “A Territorial Christmas Carol: An Oklahoma Tradition.”
