June Events in Oklahoma City

It’s starting to feel like summer in Oklahoma City. The city is bustling with indoor and outdoor events that simply shouldn’t be missed. The following are just a few of the many festivals and events that are worth an early summer RV trip to Oklahoma City this June.

2016 OKC Jazz Fest

The 2016 OKC Jazz Fest will take place June 2, 3 and 4, and is set to take over the Civic Center Music Hall with must-see jazz musicians, like David Benoit and others. In addition to non-stop live jazz performances, visitors will enjoy an art show, beer and wine garden, delicious local food trucks and so much more. All performances at Bicentennial Park are free and open to the public, but be sure to bring your wallet for shopping and dining.

Live on the Plaza

The unofficial start of summer means the start of the Live on the Plaza concert series. The second Friday of every month is dedicated to the Plaza District’s art walk featuring live music, shopping, special events, featured artists and much more. The event takes place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and is always free and open to the public.

Stars and Stripes River Festival

There’s no doubt you’ll want to be in OKC for the Stars and Stripes River Festival. This anticipated annual event will be held on June 25 and 26, this year, and will feature Fourth of July-themed festivities, like the Riversport Challenge biathlon, the PaddleFest Dragon Boat Festival, family fun, live music, delicious eats, fireworks and plenty of other activities. This must-visit event can be found at the Oklahoma City Boathouse District
