Sweet Treats for Valentine’s Day

When you are in an RV for Valentine’s Day, you can still celebrate the holidays with special recipes and sweet treats. These sweet treats are variations on your favorite recipes. If your RV doesn’t have an oven, you can make some of these ahead of time, keep them in an airtight container, then decorate them accordingly on Valentine’s Day.

Before you head out, be sure to pick up any accessories or parts you may need from Leisure Time RV; and if you haven’t had your RV serviced, get that done, too. If you don’t have an RV but plan on completing that part of your bucket list this year, now is the time to pick out a great model.

Valentine’s Day Cupcakes

Bring your favorite cake recipe or box mix, your muffin tins, some food coloring, unflavored gelatin, powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla and some Valentine’s Day cake toppers to create this easy-to-make treat. Bake cupcakes as directed by your recipe or the box mix. Let them cool completely.

Whip 2 pints of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and whip until stiff peaks form. Fold in a 1 ounce package of unflavored gelatin and 1 cup of powdered sugar. Add food coloring until you get the color you desire. Frost the cupcakes and add a cake topper decoration.

Valentine’s Day Sugar Cookies

Bring your favorite sugar cookie recipe with you, plus a heart-shaped cookie cutter. If you don’t have enough counter space in your RV to roll out cookies, make them at home and keep them in an airtight container. You can frost and decorate them when you get to your camp.

Valentine’s Day Conversation Brownies

For this sweet treat, you’ll need your favorite brownie recipe and a bag of conversation hearts. Mix the brownies according to the recipe. Place the conversation hearts on top of the mix in the pan. Don’t press them in as you want to be able to read the lettering. Bake as directed on the box.
