Benefits of Renting an RV

If you don’t already own an RV, you could have several reasons. It could be the cost of the unit you are interested in, you may not have a place to keep the RV, storage for an RV may be too expensive on a monthly or yearly basis, or you think it would be fun, but have hesitated because you don’t want to spend that money if the RV life turns out to be “not for you.”

If you are in any of these situations, you can still have some RV fun – and you can also find out if RVing is definitely something you’d enjoy. Simply rent an RV from Leisure Time RV. There are many other benefits of renting an RV – and you’ll learn about many of them on the very first trip you ever take.

  • While you may be able to sleep comfortably in a hotel, you can also sleep comfortably in an RV – and sleep wherever you want, whether at the beach, on the top of a mountain, at the races or even near a theme park.
  • Instead of traveling back to the hotel to change or grab a bite to eat, you have everything you need right with you! Imagine all the time you can save by not running back to the hotel – that gives you more time to enjoy your vacation.
  • When you rent an RV, you don’t have to worry about coming up with the cash for extra rooms for your large family. Simply rent an RV that has enough bunks/fold-aways for your family and pay one price.
  • Instead of looking for a parking spot close to your hotel room, you have a parking spot wherever you decide to camp. There’s no more lugging everything you need into the hotel room, only to haul it back out again. Furthermore, there’s no worrying about leaving valuables or lugging them with you – they’re always with you in an RV.
  • No extra airline reservations – when you rent an RV, you have just one call to make. If you are staying in a hotel, you have to worry about hotel reservations, plane reservations and a rental car. If you want a separate vehicle to drive around, your RV can tow your car if your car isn’t towing your RV!
  • If you don’t feel like going through the hassle of eating out, don’t worry! You can cook your favorite meals right in the RV.

Happy Halloween from Leisure Time RV

Halloween will be here before you know it and if your travel plans have you situated at a campground or resort, you can still celebrate the holiday with “spirited” activities.

Halloween History

Halloween, also known as All Hallows’ Evening and All Hallows’ Eve, dates back to the ancient Celtic Samhain festival celebrating the ending of the harvest season. One belief is on October 31, when the worlds of the dead and the living overlap, the dead come back to cause damage. Costumes and masks, along with bonfires, became part of the festival to ward off evil spirits or attempt to appease them.

The “trick-or-treat” part of Halloween is similar to a practice in the middle ages known as “souling” when the poor would go from house to house asking for food in return for prayers for the dead celebrated on All Souls Day. Versions of Halloween activities were brought to the US by Scottish and Irish immigrants in the 19th century.

Halloween Activities

Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends or family, or you have children and teens along, there are plenty of ways to “spook” up the day with some ingenuity and creative fun.

  • Stop at a local farmer’s market and purchase a pumpkin. Scoop out the insides and carve a scary face on the pumpkin. Place an electric candle inside the pumpkin to cast an eerie glow at your door or inside the RV to set the Halloween mood.
  • Make a night of it with Halloween inspired snacks and movies. If you have young children, watch an age appropriate movie together. When they’ve gone to bed, put on one of the classic thriller movies of all time for the adults.
  • Buy plain or frosted cupcakes or a batch of plain sugar cookies at the market. Using frosting and tubes of icing, let your inner Halloween soul help you design features on each item such as skeletons, scary eyes, and demonic mouths. Serve goodies with hot chocolate around the campfire while telling scary stories.

If you’d like to get away for a short mini vacation and would like to try the RV lifestyle, stop by Leisure Time RV and ask about their rentals. This is a great way to experience over-the-road travel before buying a new or used model.

Bringing an RV to the races, camping in the parking lot and having a tailgate party is a fun and popular event.

Convenience: Finding parking for an RV could be a hassle for some — especially those that live in the city. This reason alone keeps many people from purchasing an RV. However, you can still enjoy the pleasures of vacationing in an RV or spending a weekend at a local park or sporting event by renting an RV from an Oklahoma RV dealership.

Also, it is more convenience and less expensive to make your own lunch or run back to the refrigerator to grab a cold drink or make a quick lunch. Also, large windows in an RV allow everyone to clearly see the passing scenery.
