You don’t have to be Irish to have a great time on St. Patrick’s Day, and at these top three St. Patty’s Day celebrations, it’s hard not to have the time of your life. Pack up your RV and get on the road to one of these festive St. Patrick’s Day destinations.

Savannah, Georgia

Join over 400,000 people who head to Savannah, Ga. for a party that is said to rival Mardi Gras in New Orleans. While coastal Georgia may seem like an unlikely place for one of the best St. Patrick’s Day parties in the country, when the streets are lined with food vendors, live music and plenty of party-goers dressed in green, you won’t think twice about the party’s location. This year, the party will take place from Friday, March 14 through Monday, March 17 (the day of the St. Patrick’s Day parade) for an entire extended weekend of fun.

Boston, Massachusetts

As the host of the very first St. Patrick’s Day parade, Boston is the host of the original St. Patrick’s Day party. Over 850,000 people attend the parade that has been around since 1737 and includes elaborate floats, world-class marching bands, bagpipers and entertainers that your whole family will be talking about until next year. If you’re interested in a more low-key St. Patrick’s Day experience, enjoy a Saturday cruise on the Boston Harbor.

Chicago, Illinois

Seeing the Chicago River dyed green is reason alone to head to Chicago for St. Patrick’s Day, but all of the city’s other events are just as exciting. Watch the dyeing of the river at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, then head over to the parade at noon. The city’s bars and restaurants are alive all day with Irish specials and live music, so you’ll want to make at least a day of it.
